Gun
Gun
Guns are innocent,
Humans are not,
Guns don’t kill people,
People kill people.
Well, I think the guns help!
Because if you stood there and yelled Bang,
I don’t think you would kill too many people.
A weapon isn’t good or bad,
It depends on the person who uses it,
Guns don’t kill people,
It’s mostly the bullets,
Women’s weapon, water- drops.
When silence is used as a weapon,
It can wound even more than words,
If freedom is short of weapons,
We must compensate with willpower.
Every gun that is made, every warship launched,
Every rocket fired signifies in the final sense,
A theft from those who hunger and are not fed,
Those who are cold and are not clothed.
This world in arms is not spending money alone.
It is spending the sweat of its labourers, the genius of its scientists,
The hopes of its children,
This is not a way of life at all in any true sense,
Under the clouds of war,
It is humanity hanging on a cross of iron.
We do not need guns and bombs to bring peace,
We need love and compassion.
