Hero
Hero

Common one yet special.
Dignified as it signifies bravery.
Sacrifice is not candy,
It’s a hard pill to swallow.
Doesn’t appear in capes only,
Flows in the veins with cold blood.
It boils into degrees of ignorance.
knows how to keep the calm intact.
We all are born heroes, left untaught.
Often mothers forget to tell us stories,
Maybe choose to ignore it. Better be none!
But heroism can’t be kept hidden for long,
Whether it’s a silk curtain or mud house.
A noun knows how to reach its adjective.
The heroes who rest at a national war memorial
Visited by other heroes that
stand strong.
Emotionally! Heroes at home, lone streets,
deathbed, and the list that never ends.
The world needs more heroes who can
beat their villanelle avatar but knows why?
Heroes born on the land of unholy blood.
Where no mercy is a sign of courage,
Ending the chaos is an ultimate win.
The only reward that comes with guilt
buried in the face of good intention.
Such an irony!
Hero is a badge of peace for all of us
because we choose our battles to win.
Always, again, and every day.
To live like a Hero.
