Graph Of Life
Graph Of Life
Bedridden in hospital
With plastic surgery
On my foot
And several deformities
On my parts,
Life debilitated me.
To gather rays of hope
Even from the sun,
I was not able to open
The doors of window.
Watching the dull programmes
On television,
I spent a couple of months.
Discharged from the hospital
And holding a faint smile,
I returned.
The plant accident
Was reluctant to distance
Me from its vision.
Trying umpteen times
To overcome
The atychiphobia
And the achluophobia,
I gathered courage.
Thanking God,
For saving me
From imminent danger,
I gazed at my walker.
Though blood oozed out,
I practised walking.
Yes, with determination,
I left walker and started to saunter.
Practising to move
From bottom to top of staircase,
I learnt the graph of life.
My legs were feeble,
But my mental strength
Doubled itself,
My shrewdness enhanced itself
My skill ameliorated itself.
Dropping silence tears
Of happiness
And wearing the safety boot
And crash helmet,
I rode my Pulsar 150 towards
The plant gate,
Whispering to my failure,
'Oh, my dearest friend,
You are not amicable,
Still, you taught me a lot,
You made me triumphant,
You made me discover the inner me.'
