Ganga, why do you flow?
Ganga, why do you flow?
A poet once asked oh! Ganga, why do you flow
Pollution, floods, changing course, cause many a woe
People believe, for their sins you are a remedy
Continue with their sins, to jump into your waters, ever ready.
On one hand you, they worship
They wash their sins and into you they let it seep.
At the end of it all, with prayer and rituals, on your bank they come and weep.
As if they have done their penance, restfully in ignorance they continue to sleep.
