Fire and Ice

Contraries revelling in nature,

Forming masterpieces indefinite,

Emblazoned fire of existence,

Coupled with cool texture of ice.

Nature's fury is the perfect example,

Torrential rains , epidemic, dry spells,

When man crosses his limit,

She must teach him the power of fire.

Otherwise, she is chill,

Serenity and bliss enthralling,

A balm to heal the irritation,

And, the magic to open hearts.

And, so is a human being,

A reflection of Nature, shines,

Both these qualities he encompasses,

Also, with the power of his mind.

Passion sets him ablaze,

Hungry stomach and empty pockets too,

The warmth of inventions,

Relished by the entire mankind.

Yet, when he transgresses,

And, takes the wrong route,

Violence and hatred like inferno,

Engulf him and mankind.

An icy cool mind, deep in thoughts,

Trusts actions, wise and logical,

Labelled weird in one moment,

But, hailed later by all.

A calm poise opens doors,

Of healthy and productive communication,

Leading to greater rewards,

And, minimising acrimony.

But, is it valid all the time?

Is ice well-accepted always?

Coolness is surely a forte,

But many a times cause downfall.

An icy or indifferent person,

Sticking only to his selfishness,

Forgetting that he belongs to the world,

Just as the world belongs to him.

He ignores rampant injustice,

Infact, does some as the tide goes,

Sadistic pleasures he derive,

Watching others suffer and cry.

He is then a greater threat,

To his own clan, more than,

Any other occurrence or thing,

As his tribe grows and fail others.

Yet, how both fire and ice exist,

And, are necessary too,

For the preservation of this world,

For the continuation of life.

What is needed then,

To keep them at peace,

Is to strike a harmonious balance,

Between the raging fire and the chilling ice.

Use them optimally,

Know when and how to apply them,

And, Lo! life is sorted,

As peace rules supreme.
