FAREWELL MEMORIES

FAREWELL MEMORIES

Faces bid farewell when it's time to go.

It's a day when hearts recognise each other;

Some, like true friends daring to die for each other,

Some, like inseparable souls predestined,

Many, like strangers on day one,

And a few remain foes, unless life does some magic.

Some break up like another Buddha, enlightened,

Leaving the cherished moments

For the future, unknown, may be brighter.

Some hope to reunite by coincidence,

Many walk away forever, insensitive,

Never longing to renew moments spent together.

Some leave with fond memories

Engraved in hearts to feel them all the way,

And some as mere words in perishable autographs.

Memories are drugs—good and bad,

For those knowing when to recall.

Never bid them eternal adieu

Until they rob the peace within,

But treasure them if smiles escort them.
