Fallen
Fallen
I am shooting stars from my window grill tonight...
Shooting stars which might turn my wishes true.
The other day, those rumbling leaves asked me
"Why does the world find beauty in our fall?"
I had nothing as an answer, I murmured whatsoever
"You make space for the newborn,
You are the hope for rebirth
And that is the most beautiful thing you can give us."
They fell. Surely.
But this time they signed off
with a smile;
Kissed the ground, the damp soil
And then the seeds lying around
Sunk into the mud- their blood and then it happened...
The soil snuggled the posterity of the earth.
The leaves diffused into the soil,
Like a naked soul dancing around with joy
To celebrate the love of God, the gift of life
And here I am, gazing at the sky, awaiting the dawn
For it will mark the beginning of another fall,
All over again.
