Fall Apart

Everything is falling apart, 

One brick at a time, 

One smile at a time, 

One love at a time, 

One life at a time, 

One home at a time, 

One hope at a time. 

But it all stays intact, 

Until one day, 

It all fades away,

Turns to ashes that fly beyond the grip of physical, 

And that's when we realize... 

The weight of the things that we lost, 

As memories fill up our minds,

One brick at a time, 

One smile at a time, 

One love at a time, 

One life at a time, 

One home at a time, 

One hope at a time, 

Slowly it comes back to us. 

We start again… 

With another hope for another day, 

Until it all ends again, 

Then we shall start once more, 

And the cycle must go on and on and on… 

Until we learn to value, 

All the beautiful simple days,

When things hadn't fallen apart,

When they were still intact, 

Waiting for your attention, 

All the imperfect days, 

When moonlit skies passed by, 

Waiting for you to kiss your love, 

When the orange glowing sun, 

Set alone every day, 

When the leaves gracefully fell down the trees, 

When your loved ones had smiled the brightest,

When the mountains had sung the divine song, 

Were you there to witness? 

All the imperfect, simple days,

Holds the happiness,

That you search for, 

In all the wrong places… 

Someday it all must fade away again,

Nothing can be done about that, 

But on all the other days…
