Eyes
Eyes
Speaking volumes without uttering a single word,
A language which is foreign to all,
Piercing the coldest and stoniest of hearts,
Even Cupid himself, cannot help but fall,
In love with their magnetic gaze,
Beckoning the onlooker into their lair,
Akin to a hunter, who set its eye,
On a prey which is too soon ensnared.
Hours appear to be a mere speck of time,
Spent in admiration of their beauty,
But alas, no respite for the restive heart,
Fluttering like a captive butterfly longing to be set free.
Enchanted and entranced, as I behold,
A pair of eyes, impossible to find,
Anywhere on earth, so mesmerizingly divine,
Undoubtedly one of God’s gifts to mankind.
"Eyes are captivatingly beautiful. Not because of the color but because of the words they hold within them."
