Even Afterlife
Even Afterlife
Everything was good till it lasted,
Now, only memories remain,
How lovely! life on earth seemed,
Happiness and joy, we did attain.
Alas! If only I could turn back time,
But I got no power to do so,
Gone were the beautiful moments,
We mesmerized, now I lay low.
Left me devasted and shattered,
Without a word of goodbye,
My life is a weather, turned dark,
Left me all alone, but why?
How cruel and unfair, the death is,
Unannounced it came,
It snatched you from poor me,
Leaving memories and your name.
Yet, I shouldn't remain drenched,
In the showers of suffering and pain,
Here's a solemn oath, I undertake,
Even afterlife, we'll be together again.
