Education
Education
The boredom was making me insane
Until I heard the pitter-patter of rain.
I overcame with joy,
As I saw a boy,
On the road making boats.
And making sure perfectly they float.
Bobbing along the road,
With frogs, newts and toads.
The boats made their way
To rivers, lakes and up to the bay.
One boat drowned
Which made the boy frown.
He put the paper on the ground
Ready for another round
Of making the boat with paper
Swimming along the road between sky-scrapers.
But as he turned around to a noise
He saw some kids walking with poise.
As I saw from my window; his expressions
It became clear he wanted an education.
To be like them, smart and sophisticated.
