Memories Of Childhood
Memories Of Childhood
Those were the days of joy!
When all we desired was a simple toy
Throwing tantrums and crying aloud,
Nagging for it till the parent bowed
Down to our wishes and fulfilled the need
Bearing everything, whether we cried or peed
Weren't those days so delightful?
Those bright smiles and faces cheerful.
That nonsense babble and carefree attitude
When all our actions were dependent on our mood
We jumped and hopped from place to place.
No matter what they said; determined to be a menace
Where has that childhood gone?
Thinking of it makes me mourn
Of the times when I had nothing to worry,
When I wore pyjamas and my slippers furry.
When I was tucked in my bed,
And switching off the light, my mom said
"Good Night Darling! Sweet dreams!"
And kissed my head as I grinned.
Those days make me wish I'd never grown up.
And stayed the same with nothing to worry and no one to match up.
