Distance
Distance
Distance makes the heart grow fonder
With you gone, I often pine and ponder
For you and your stupid talks
And together taken long walks.
With you around, I never thought of you.
But with you gone, that's all I do.
It is rightly said that you learn
The real value of someone when they're gone.
It wasn't like we were always together,
But your absence makes me wonder
If we were really so close and dependent on each other.
Or is it just me getting lonelier?
Do you feel the same there
As I'm feeling here?
I now realize the true meaning
Of what was just a saying
That distance, age, and height are mere numbers surreal
When you fall in love for real.
