When It Begins To Rain Hope
When It Begins To Rain Hope
When it begins to rain Hope
(EXCERPT FROM MY PUBLISHED BOOK - THE FOLKS WHO HOPE - A COLLECTION OF POEMS BY RACHANA GROVER(available on Amazon & Flipkart))
Separate lives and separate souls; Hope and Despair coexist within me each day in my mind. Competing against the grains of time; Bring to the fore in me emotions of a different kind.
A few drops of rain fall on the soil
They look to heaven and raise their eyes,
Oh precious pearls of life, come down
Sweet rain and listen to our grateful cries.
>
The drooping leaves, the wilting plants
And animals scorched by the heat,
My broken earth and its parched farmlands
Feel the cool drops of rain and its gentle beat.
Oh curtains of grey envelope us
A pit, a patter, gushing down fills our empty platter,
Sprinkle splash and thunder away
Till life on my farm, is a muddy delightful batter.
