Earth Day - Our Committed Say

Earth Day - Our Committed Say

Mother Earth is revolving

Speaking her grief while rotating

Land, water and air are getting polluted

Man and technology hatched a conspiracy convoluted

Instead of hearing the chirping birds and rushing rivers

Instead of hearing the raining drops and blooming flowers

Man is running after money, luxury and matter

Tell me...

When the last tree has been cut down

When the last bird left the nest falling down

When the last river is polluted and poisioned

When the last glacier has disappeared and melted

When the last plastic bottle floating in oceans was lost distraught

No emphatic answers to these, I know

No pity faces to see, I know

Just remember---

We can not breathe money

We can not create honey

We can not bring back lush greenery

We can not bring nature's pristine glory

Ohh! Twenty-first century citizen

Think twice and go ahead

No trees, no flowers and not even bees to see or not to see said

Come let's celebrate Earth Day together

April 22 is the right moment to pledge together

Mother Earth does not belong to us, we belong to Mother Earth

Plastic-free universe we have to fight for

Renewable energy may be our daily commitment dear

Sustainable development may be our motto forever

United we stand, in unison we fight

Our committed commitment will bring a smile to the grim face of Mother Earth bright.
