Concealed Vendettas

Strikes again the misery in all its power,

With the purpose of leaving a legacy behind.

The pain wishes to be chronic and increase every hour,

Hinting at its craving for annihilating my mind.

Muffled sobs in the dark, a cup of coffee in daylight,

Nausea and chaos were the outcomes, well, that was no surprise.

Eyelids beg to drop, hurting with the weight of tears,

Then plead the eyelashes, reminding of everything I ever held dear.

Heart's gone hibernating, I don't feel a beat,

Playing that same sappy love song on repeat.

In an attempt to bless my emotions,

With the privilege to flow,

Trying to keep constant as people come and go.

I swear that's a messier future that awaits,

Against me, every second, every hour, every single day.

But, I hope I'm ready for it to hit me in the face,

Cause, I just can't afford to lose another race.

I wish to defy fate..
