Christmas Lullabies

Christmas Lullabies

182

On a starry night,

Gazing outside my home,

I used to ponder and wonder

When will Santa come?

It's already midnight!

My precious gifts will he find?

Will he succeed at reading my mind?

Staring at the snowflakes crystal

The night felt so magical!

The Christmas tree,

Was used to be decorated with glee!

And I also remember,

The Christmas cake,

Me and my sister used to bake!

The Christmas carols and Christmas songs,

We used to sing them all-day Long!

Why I never heard jingling bells,

Or saw Santa riding a sleigh?

I used to marvel!

The Christmas excitement slowly disappeared,

And with it the fantasy,

With age came knowledge!

And the existence of Santa ceased.

The Christmas carols remained,

So did the cake and trees

But all that disappeared,

Was my world of fantasy.
