Bullets

Memories are bullets,

Others tear you open and leave you in pieces,

Some whiz by and only spook you.

You don’t need any gun control, you know what you need?

We need some bullet control,

Men, we need to control the bullets, that’s right.

They're fake bullets, so why do I feel like I am bleeding out?

I wanted to paint a picture someday that people would stand before and forget that it was made of paint,

I wanted it to creep into them like a bar of music and mushroom there like a soft bullet.

The rain fell like dead bullets.

The global Corona conflict has rammed people into trenches,

Invisible, lethal, viral weapons have replaced visible whistling bullets and thunderous bombs,

As we don’t know who is calling the shots,

It is difficult to tell how we can call a truce with imperceptible enemies.

The way a person's life picked up speed,

The way life was like a bullet aimed at one final target,

Impossible to slow or turn aside, and like the bullet,

You were ignorant of what you were going to hit,

Would never know anything except the rush and the impact.

You're allowed to miss the people who were bullets to you,

but you're not allowed to let them shoot you again.

Bullets are for morons,

The brain is mightier than a billion bullets.
