Bonding Barriers
Bonding Barriers
In this modern age of living and strife
Many changes have invaded our daily lives
Finding time for anything is a major issue at stake
More so when the family too faces the same mistake
With parents working and children under daycares
The precious bond of togetherness, in the eyes, it stares
The crucial years of growing up denied
The pampering, cajoling and caressing deprived
The value orientation taken over by institutions
But lacking totally in personal manifestations
Unspoken sweet moments forsaken
Unusual situations rake up confrontations
Me time is more important than our time
I, me, myself is the present past time
Family attachment, a primary requirement
But time for family members a premium component
Toys too now more sophisticated
Choice unlimited but satisfaction depreciated
Happy were the days when families meant, bonding and being together
Eating and celebrating also with one another
Sharing, caring and giving were natural factors
Helping and tending were also fact of matters
The camaraderie, comfort and coexistence
Were the strong forces of living with persistence
Tales, fables and stories narrated
By elders in the house
Were moral tenets for living a life
Without any grouse
Respect, regard and reverence were essential instruments
In the growing years of the children's environment
Time, family and attachment
Have seen many a change in their course
But a family that stays together is the one and only home source.
