Monsoon Melody
Monsoon Melody
As I look up to the skies
Changing colours by night and dawn
Sometimes white fluffy forms, other times black cotton like bales adorn.
Hanging and swaying, floating and lifting
Cirrus, stratus, and nimbus waltzing in the highs drifting.
Some with ice molecules and some with water vapour
Ready to kiss the parched earth with a reason to flatter
As the clouds burst with joy,
The pitter-patter drops fall to the ground
With a tempo and rhythm to match the musical strains and sound
Memories lovely, raked from the
Past, tickle the heart
Gentle and playful on the minds
Moods so soft
The drops falling in every crevice and nook
Reviving memories caged in the mind's book
Now sitting pretty on the leaves like a dewdrop
Shining, glittering and scattering sunlight from every drop
Creating beams of happiness with great delight
And rays of merriment on the faces alight.
