Between The Cars
Between The Cars
A girl of my brother's age
He just learned Pythagoras theorem
She just learned life.
Harassed, between the cars, juggling and struggling for life.
It is the red light that she loves
And it is found
Between cars, during red light she earns
Selling balloons of her size.
When the light goes green
She too moves under a shade
Shade was that of a eucalyptus tree, uneven
Nature too, can be uneven?
Here her brother half her age awaits
And she waits for the light to go red
I too wanted so as to cross the road
Only this time, mine and her desire were the same.
Little one was playing with one balloon that was left
Which will be sold to the kid in the car
Light went red, it was her time,
She walked to get that balloon but was stuck by a smile.
She saw him playing with that balloon
His smile was as wide as that kid in car
She also wanted to buy him a toy
But this isn't she can afford.
If she doesn't sell it, all of her earning of the day will be lost
Then how will she feed that smile?
So she decided to get it back but he didn't
Snatching became a game and she wanted the defeat.
But the little one gave off
I don't know why
Probably that half age learned the life half that she has
Harassed, between the cars, juggling and struggling for life.
