BEAUTIFUL WINTERS!

Winter is the festive time every year,

As the Christmas season is here,

To meet everyone and celebrate,

And keep awake long hours plus wake up late!

Friends and fun, eat and drink, talk and laugh,

And for memories……. click photographs,

Time passes off so quickly every winter holidays,

Why does it happen this way always?

Time wasn’t sufficient to bake my extra cakes,

Preparing Christmas goodies brought in some aches,

Decorating the house with the crib and the Christmas tree,

By 25th Dec, twelve midnight it was all done and we were free!

To wake up early on Christmas Day is difficult after the midnight mass,

Yet have to do it, to get ready with everything including the wine glass,

Cooking, eating, drinking, distributing cakes, wishing and serving,

oes well always on Christmas Day even with all the gathering!

Then soon we welcome the New Year within a week,

All celebrations of the year-end hit the peak,

Thanksgiving to God, for the year that’s passed so well,

Pray and celebrate side by side in the coming year to excel!

In a few days’ time, it’s all back to normal again,

The extra cleaning, cooking, baking, and fun are all restrained,

Sun is out glaring to say soon the peak winter is gone by,

The morning and evening chill too will reduce by and by!

Will have to wait for the next winter season for all the fun,

As every year Christmas will be here to celebrate for everyone,

Time to thank God for all the blessings we receive throughout the year,

And to start every New Year afresh with our minds and slates all clear!
