Let Us Clean....

It's the time we have to learn,

Enough is enough and the time has come.

Why can't we make a system and mean?

To keep our environment clean.

It's true that everybody is busy and in hurry,

But that's no reason to have any worry.

This earth is for us and has given beautiful nature,

This earth is for us and we live here.

The forests, the rivers, the trees and the greenery,

All are for us and we are the beneficiary.

The roads, the fields and the lane,

All are for our use and why destroy them?

Why throw the garbage here and there?

Put them in the dustbins and take care.

Why destroy the rivers with our waste?

They give us water for our usage.

Why cut the trees and destroy the forest?

Then just think, where the animals will take a rest?

Why for the sake of science and development?

Destroy the greenery for self-interest.

Just think of the fields, where you had played,

Now left with garbages and being unattended.

See the roads made for our convenience,

Some had to dig it and others maintain silence.

See in every lane there is a dustbin,

But it is left out there being unseen.

See the drains are made for wastewater,

But been filled with polythene and paper.

All are thinking, it's not their job,

But always complains they will have.

We blame each other for no reason,

Instead of keeping our living place clean.

Sometimes we talk big things,

But in practicality never do anything.

We talk politics and give our comments,

Thinking all will be done by the governments.

We forget that the government is our's,

It's been there to make policies for us.

We keep our house and ourselves clean,

But forget our responsibilities to society even.

We are a part of the society and the universe,

It's our duty to keep it clean for us.

Let us stop talking big and do something,

By giving a start from our place of living.

Let us keep our lanes and fields clean,

It will be always good for hygiene.

Let us protect our rivers and forest,

It will save our lives and give us the best.

Let us save the roads and greenery,

It will make our life extraordinary.

Let us promise to ourselves and to society,

Let us clean everything as it's our responsibility.
