Grateful in Every Moment

Grateful in Every Moment

Today, I take a moment to reflect,

To count my blessings and show respect,

For all the things in my life, I hold dear,

For the love, the joy, the happiness, and the fear.

I am grateful for my parents, who gave me birth,

For without them, I wouldn't be on this earth,

For my family, who are always there for me,

For my friends, who share my laughter and my glee.

I am thankful for my senses, each one of them,

For the sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste of them,

For the speech that allows me to express,

For the heart and lungs that keep me in finesse.

I am grateful for my immune system, so strong,

For my hands and legs, that keep me going along,

For my mind that allows me to think and create,

For my health that keeps me going at a steady rate.

I am thankful for my teachers, who taught me so much,

For my school, where I learned and grew as such,

For the tears that help me express my emotions,

For the disappointments that help me with my notions.

I am grateful for the beauty of nature,

For the sun, moon, and stars that shine with grandeur,

For the rain that cools me and the snow that sparkles,

For the rainbow that makes me feel so special.

I am thankful for the technology that helps me connect,

For the transport that makes my travel easier to detect,

For the books that impart wisdom to my soul,

For the movies that entertain and make me whole.

I am grateful for my bed and my home sweet home,

For my soul mate and my best friends, who are never alone,

For the strangers who make my days brighter,

For the enemies who make me wiser and lighter.

I am thankful for the mistakes that help me grow,

For the heartbreaks that make me mature and glow,

For the laughter that serenades my life with joy,

For the love that makes me feel alive and coy.

Finally, I am grateful for life and all its challenges,

For the chance to experience all its mysteries and relishes,

And most of all, I am grateful for myself,

For being who I am and touching the world with myself.
