In the Stillness

Placid lakes and ponds,

Serene mountains and valleys,

Calm and peaceful mornings, is what I long for;

Quietness and stillness all around,

It's been ages I have experienced such sound;


Oh! How obstreperous it is, to procure stillness,

Where I hanker what I desire to be,

I gazed and pursuit where I could,

At places imminent and remote,

But far-fetched, I was woebegone,

As I was inept to;


While longing for tranquility, 

Deep within my heart and soul;

It was immersed and mummed,

Gently I kindled it;

With tenderness and fondness,

And it outshined, within and around,

Here I'm now, in concord;

Forever and ever .....
