At The Crossroads

At The Crossroads

Have travelled quite a distance,

Now at the crossroads,

Stood bewildered.

What next?

Like a novice apprentice,

Struggling for right tick,

Amongst multiple choices.

Which at best are hazy,

Can ill afford to err,

As negative marking is frightening,

Confusing choices make it more puzzling.

Scorching sun over the head,

Can ill afford to continue standing,

Heat is overbearing,

Time of reckoning is ticking fast.

And I have to find shelter of trees ahead,

And have to start walking,

On the road to my cherished dreams.
