Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety came knocking at my door one day, beautifully disguised with a colourful hat on its head, a floral scarf around its neck, shiny rings on every finger and the most flattering, expensive leather boots.

Anxiety walked in but decided to stay. It refused to leave and that beautiful facade was no more. Anxiety slept next to me in my bed, stroking my hair and singing me to sleep. It held my hand as I crossed the street. It kissed my forehead with everyone watching.

Anxiety loved me but I knew it loved the other girl just as much it loved me.
