Hope

This poem is not about you, 

This is not about my broken heart,

Or a place to spill out all my pain.

This poem is for all those out there finding it hard to hold on to hope.

For those empty hearts out there who don’t know if they should hold on or move on.

This is a poem about hope,

To drown out all the pain.

Hope, 

Hope to find the light at the end of the tunnel,

Hope to find love at the end of pain,

Hope to find laughter after all the tears,

Hope to stop going back to that picture every night in vain.

This is a poem to tell myself, 

That there’s hope at the end of everything after you.

And to tell myself, that the word ‘love’ has nothing to do with you anymore. 

A ray of hope for you to find your way out of my world,

And me out of yours. 

So here’s hoping I can love you without the pain,

And remember you just by your name.
