An Ode To A Queen
An Ode To A Queen

Hundred trying days among
Friends and foes.
She stood tall and proud
Amidst the thundering clouds.
Even the heavy spiteful downpour couldn't weaken her iron resolve.
How mighty the temptation would have been;
To give up and go with the flow.
To be a part of the usual crowd,
To abate the pain of standing out
To bow to the common will;
But she wouldn't do it still.
She stood true to her own form, listening to her mind,
Following her heart.
Never wavering from her path.
Days of strife and triumph,
Smiles and tears, weaknesses and strengths.
She stepped out with a smile
And her head held high,
Lost the battle, Won the war
A queen who conquered
A million hearts.
