Lookin' At The Mirror

Lookin' At The Mirror

2 mins 13.7K 2 mins 13.7K

Cultivating my curiosity, in front of the mirror

Why again I'm putting up this fight, Why dont I just quit life

Is memory a jewel like word Or its a snake bite of my darkest dream

Am i talking to myself or I'm asking to the parallel me

Why is this mirror even after

Breaking into pieces shows my face only

Or was I living with a lie of society, friends and family

Why I'm all alone in this crowd

Or am I searching for my own heart

Among all these heartless proud

Have I chosen a wrong me

or Its just the right mind I could not read

Have I done so wrong that no right is left behind

Why all these memories keep me awake all night

Even if the same act as pills at times help me sleep tight

Why I laugh at others instead cry on my own

Consoling myself when I lost all I had won

Standing in front of mirror showing watch

I hope as if my time would run back, like a fool

I got nothing but time in my life

With a fake smile pocketful of soul

Still I am holding this pen of pain and ink of time

Crying my heart out but no one is mine nor have I a smile

The sand of strength keeps on slipping out of my fist

Barely I can control my feels with ocean in my eye

Have I done all wrong or any single right

My tiny world of happiness moving out of my sight

Will there be no sun in my memory's night

Waiting for the light all I got is shadow of my own sight

Still looking at the mirror with confused eyes

Will my millions of hope gonna hold me tight

Still looking at the mirror with confused eyes

Am I on the wrong side or my heart is right
