Almost

We were almost there...

Like 2 souls dancing we almost got that close...

I knew when I looked up at you painting 

A sort of bliss went over me...

Happiness? A sense of warmth rushed into my heart

As if you started melting away the last bit of ice that kept me from giving anyone my time

I felt my hands get weak 

Heart beating faster 

Is it a tear that is falling on the side of my face?

As I wipe it away...I knew this wouldn’t last for too long 

Too good to be true ...you beautiful soul you...

To want me?...a chaotic mess of everything in life...

And then you turned those blue eyes I almost fell to my knees 

I knew you’d be my weakness 

I knew I wouldn’t survive
