All things shall pass
All things shall pass
In the kingdom of lions dynasty, a tale unfolds,
No matter the majesty, destiny's grip takes hold.
The greatest King!, fierce in its prime,
Roars and conquers, living in myth of ageless time.
Chasing prey with it's strength & skill, ruling the land,
Relishing triumphs, leaving none to withstand.
Yet time is relentless, age creeps in fast,
The mighty lion, a prisoner at last.
In youth, they are swift, they defend their Pride,
But shadows approach as the old ones abide.
Crippled by age, they falter and sway,
Once rulers of kingdoms, now frail and gray.
No longer the hunters, no longer the might,
They roam and they roar, a futile fight.
Cornered by hyenas, persistent & ruthless in their quest,
The Greatest Lion succumbs to the final test.
Nibbled and eaten, a tragic demise,
No mercy from time, no tears in the eyes.
Life's brief moments, power's short-lived gleam,
A lesson learned, like a recurring dream.
Life of lions, echoes in our human kind,
The vulnerability that age will definitely find.
So let's be humble, extend a hand,
To the the sick, the weak, across the land.
In the grand theater, we play our part,
But the script dictates, we depart.
Helping others, embracing the truth,
For in life's very short span, lies the essence of youth.
