A Lonely Tree

A Lonely Tree

A lonely tree, on a windy night,

Gazing at the sea, lit so bright,

On an island of bliss,

Surrounded by the sea,

Or the hopeless solitude,

As the case might be.

Standing alone , Facing the sea

The tree would gaze happily,

At the sun and beloved sky,

At every wave which passed by,

At the clouds flying up so high,

Under the love of immortal sky.

Its feet held tight, By the sea sand,

Its roots of love, deep into the land,

It was alone, but still not lonely,

It was hell, but it felt heavenly.

Nights did pass, so did the days,

the tree was challenged in many ways

One such night was when the sea,

Was just as wild as it could be,

The winds too didn't show mercy,

No one could help the lonely tree.

Only the dark clouds were seen,

Where that night, the moon had been?

Struck by the wind , At its rear,

The bend inflicted Was beyond repair.

The tree had bent into the hands of sand,

But the roots of love were held by land.

Finally the dreadful night passed by,

And the sun was back in the sky.

Bent down by force, towards the sea,

The tree could no longer see,

The clouds flying up so high,

Neither the immortal beloved sky.

Neither the moon nor a star,

The tree had received it's deepest scar.

The water was all it could see,

All hopes of bliss were lost by the tree.

It was dark and the sun was out of sight,

And that was when came the night.

The night brought a gift for the tree,

And told it to look at the sea.

The tree obeyed and saw it soon,

Down came the stars and the moon.

The moon shined brightly,

And so did the sky,

And so did every cloud passing by.

It was not a trick , nor a dream,

It was nature's love,

That the tree had seen.

How compassionate the sky had been

And smiled back the water,

Where it's reflection was seen.

After that the lonely tree,

Was as complete as it could be.

Just because of a change it made,

In its viewpoint like the nature said,

Till today it looks down happily,

And the moon comes down in the sea

In the end it was a happy tree,

With nature's best company.
