A Life Of Colors...

A Life Of Colors...

How colors tell life's many shades of love, pain, comfort, and worries,

They adorn the leaves and the trees in myriad ways to tell such stories.

The blue and white eyes of a child filled with hues of dreams wrapped,

Little does the little one knows life's curvy random ways, soft and hard.

The childhood goes through a rainbow of colors among clouds in the sky,

The teens color all their endeavors with an unwavering belief to aim high.

The young and restless have a spectacle of colors in their horizon,

The roving mind transcends the infinite universe without even a reason.

Freedom has a color to liberate the mind of the narrow thoughts and walls,

Grit paints its own colors in the gloom to jump many barriers to overcome the trials.

In the otherwise white canvas of life, hard journeys paint strong colored lines,

Milestones of friendship, love, compassion, passion help get over the dark confines.

A walk in a wheatish pristine beach under a vibrant blue sky heals the wound,

The blue water touches the feet, recedes to make us stay rooted to the ground.

A trip to the dense green woods, the dews on the leaves, stores memories in million,

Vivid colors on the trees, the ever-flowing water on the stones, a perfect companion.

As we go far in life, how soon we take its many colors for granted,

Those days of innocence, when we fell for these, how we badly wanted.

Life, after all, is a rainbow of colors - pink, red, blue, green, yellow, orange,

We pause one day to look back and see how we ran so long for a mirage.

Life's moments are like colorful spots nature bestows on a vast landscape,

The troughs and crests we are taken through ensuring that we don't escape.

Colors arrive in our many festivals, they remain etched in our short memories,

They tell us to give the love back to this world, holding a hand over miseries.

The child in us grows up in the dusty by-lanes playing the colors of life,

The parents with a life of comfort, safety, riches, ease, all but any strife.

Little do we know, the souls who come here with a destiny to be envied,

They make us shocked and speechless with the way they lived and died.

The strongest colors on the canvas are reserved for him, our soldier,

They are a class apart, seldom the dreams they live, we come closer.

Rare are these blessed souls, they transcend the pain of a mere body,

The nation is their love, come grief, come war, they are ever so ready.

They certainly deserve the best colors and they get it with their might,

The terrain is extremely tough, uncertain yet the goal is never out of sight.

On his day, he unfurls the tricolor in blood, sweat and unbearable pain,

Another day gets wrapped in the tricolor to arrive in his hometown in a teary rain.
