A Train Of Thoughts...

A Train Of Thoughts...

3 mins
872

The chaos of all sorts fill up the platform with the summer breeze,

As I wait for my train to arrive, with tired and unusual ease.

Trains arrive like a ray of hope in the uncertainty of the crowd,

Going up the bogey, settling in the seat, set your rushing mood.

As the train leaves the platform, you leave with an emotional sigh,

As in life, we live moments, moments leave us with a low & a high.

Traveling aloof in the crowd with a backpack of mixed emotion,

The fresh breeze cools your face at the doors of the train in motion.

The train catches up speed in the dark night like life in a hurry,

As if the years zoom past in life's lane with nothing to carry.

Like the train, we leave the city with a heap of colorful moments,

The small stations telling their stories in tiny increments.

The rhythm of the sound of the track matches that of time's test,

Sometimes they are soothing and then they don't let you take rest.

The steel tracks lay still to let the wheels run smoothly over,

Like the heart and the mind run along life's track never to meet ever.

The train moves past alone in the dark open sky with far off stars,

As if whispering to me to keep moving with my wounds and scars.

The destination is a long way off, both of us have their own stories,

Many came on board briefly, leaving us at their stations of glories.

I fall asleep with tiring legs, it wakes me up with a long & loud horn,

As if telling me, wake up, keep going the far off station, don't burn.

It tells me that I could befriend him and he would be like my host,

I am happy to get a friend to share my stories of love and loss.

The new train with its many colors say a young and happening story,

The dimly-lit towns zooming past like small moments of glory.

A big unstoppable town is a destination which never ever whine,

People come, people go, it hardly cares, what with rains or sunshine.

Now, my eyes just can't get open, I fall asleep with a dream,

My host runs smoothly, I see long lost friends, smiles to the brim.

The love and care, the stuff we share, how life would have been,

As if I have gone back in time, the journey was full of a hearty grin.

My host will come to a healing halt at the destination of that big city,

I'll vanish into the crowd as if into oblivion, to have a slice of life in my kitty.

Looking back at my host and friend, I leave for home with a heavy heart,

I see a small green flag when my friend of a little night is ready to start.

I had the moment for life in that little journey with a friend so candid,

Nothing gonna replace the tender touch of friends & love, indeed.

Richest are those who have an array of loving people around,

Leave a word of love & gratitude, to reach their ears with a big sound.
