A Dog’s Poem On Humans
A Dog’s Poem On Humans
Ever since the first breath
I felt his tender love
They said he was the peak
Of the known Evolution
And that's what I aspired to be
I was shattered when I saw the truth
We ate together
They fought for food
We barked in joy
They barked even though they could speak
We wagged our tails for all we love
They wagged their tails to the ones in power
We ran without purpose in full flow
They couldn't sit still for a moment
We were considered an epitome of loyalty
They couldn't be loyal even to themselves
They cursed each other to die a dog's death
I realised that's a better death to have
Than dying of poisoning oneself and everyone around
And for now, let me not evolve into a human.
