A Dandelion
A Dandelion
Away from the wayfaring sun,
Somewhere behind the veiled stars
Lies asleep, a dainty dandelion,
Away from the desires of significance
Somewhere within a lulling silence.
Tucked safely in a blanket of hope
Dreaming in fate's dwindling lap
Lies asleep, a feisty dandelion,
Tucked safely in an August warm
Dreaming of eloping with the storm.
