See Through My Eyes

Today was a big day for Raunak and Priya. Raunak came to pick her up. When Priya came, Raunak softly held her hand and helped her sitting in the car. On their way, Raunak was continuously praising her. Priya was blushing badly. She told him to stop flirting to which he replied there's a difference between true love and flirt and he really loves her and all that he was saying was true appreciation. He didn't even know how to flirt. 

Raunak continued praising her, "You are so beautiful Priya. I feel every part of your body is beautiful ."

"What?"

"I didn't mean it the way you're taking it. I mean you are beautiful as a whole, perfectly beautiful, only for me."

"Stop Raunak. These are cheesy lines. You need to grow up now, baby."

"What........What did you just say? Please repeat it."

"No. Golden words are meant to be spoken only once. They are not repeated."

"Please yaar. I'm driving the car. My consciousness is divided between you and on the road. Please try to understand. "

"You didn't pay any attention to whatever I was saying ."

"No. I did. Since I saw you today, I could  focus only you but now I need to focus on the road too."

"Really!"

"Yes."

"Then tell me, what did you notice? What I am wearing?"

"You are wearing your favourite pink salwar kameez."

" OK. Something else?"

"You are not wearing your casual earrings. You are wearing those earrings that your sister gave you."

"Well, I'm impressed. Anything else?"

"You forget to apply your lipstick."

"What....? How could I forgot..... I mean how could I.......??" 

"I know but baby you look beautiful in every perspective, every day in every situation, you just need to see through my eyes. My eyes always found you beautiful."

"Maybe ."

 Raunak tries to lift her mood Up.

"We are going now. So just chill ."

"But, I m nervous."

"Why are you nervous? You should be excited, not nervous, because that part suits me, not on you. You don't need to worry. Everything will be OK. We are going now, so just pray for the best."

"I am doing already."

Soon their conversation ended as they reached. Raunak jumped off the car and open the door for her. He held her hand and took her inside. Raunak had completed all the formalities and he waited in the reception area. There was a statue of Lord Ganesha. He immediately sat in front of it. He closed his eyes and folded his hands. As he closed his eyes, a tear left his eye. He has to wait for 3 to 4 hours. He sat there only in front of God. He continued praying. Whenever somebody called him, he stood up as if he was waiting for the call only.

 After a long wait of 4 hours, finally, his wait ended. He was called inside. Raunak was shivering. He was holding his breath. He just prayed to God one more time. He closed his eyes. When he heard his name from Priya's lips, he got emotional. Priya came forward with her hand raised towards Raunak. Raunak immediately holds her hand and gave her a tight hug. Both of them were crying inconsolably. He took her to the mirror placed outside. Priya gave a slight cry as she saw herself in the mirror. Raunak said," See. I told you, you look beautiful but you didn't believe me. But now you have to, as you can see with your own eyes." 

Priya smiled as she wiped her tears.
