A Woman

Woman- a person who was pulled down by the society many times but she never gave up on her dreams. 

Akriti, an independent, strong woman lived alone in an apartment in Mumbai. She was an orphan. So she herself did her upbringing. She did whatever she felt was right. She was a girl who always listened to her heart. She was a kind hearted girl but the people in her building hated her because she wore whatever she liked, she had friends who came to her house on her birthdays and other occasions. But she didn't care about anyone. She had a motto in life " As long as you are happy, don't care about others opinions." 

One day she was going to her office and she stopped because of the red light and saw a small girl crying on the gate of the orphanage. She could not leave her like that. She went in the orphanage and asked the incharge if she could adopt her as a single mother. The incharge agreed. She completed the paper work, took a day off from work and decided to spend the day with her daughter to make a bonding with her. The girl was five years old and Akriti named her Akansha. Akansha was happy to finally have someone to call as her family. Akriti took her to shopping first and purchased clothes for her. And then took her to the kids play area. And then they had lunch together. They were starting to bond really well as Akriti knew Akansha's situation because she had lived it. 

Akriti took her to her house and gave her a separate room and told her that she'll decorate her room the way she would want. And Akriti went to the security guard and told him that her daughter will stay with her just so he doesn't asks her for entry again and again. 

The building was shocked to know that Akriti had a daughter. They called her in a meeting and asked her that how can she just pick up a girl from the orphanage and call her daughter. To this Akriti replied "And who are you all to question my choices in life? As far as I remember I don't have any relations with you all so I'm not answerable to you." And Akriti left. The residents of the building did not like her decision but they couldn't do anything about it because as we all know it was none of their business. 

Akriti provided the best education to Akansha. She gave her the best upbringing. She did everything for Akansha which she wanted for herself in her childhood. And all her efforts carved a beautiful personality for Akansha. Akanksha took the medical field and made Akriti proud with her achievements in life.

A woman- she can always make anyone's life worth living.
