An Agonizing Year
An Agonizing Year
It's been an year since we last met,
Though I'm having a smile on my face, my heart is still wet,
Of all the pains in world,
The toughest is having you as my intangible asset.
I have survived so far and will survive ahead,
I'll keep my promises and tears I'll not shed,
But I'm bound to have some moments so numb,
Where I may get killed by a fine thread.
I wish I had you for the rest of my life,
I wish I hadn't had to struggle or for you I had to thrive,
For you are the happiness that I could ever wish,
These wishes are the reason for me to be alive.
From before the sunrise, till after the sunset,
From the flashbacks while I'm awake, to the dreams that I get,
You occupy every inch of my mind,
Even though its been an year since we last met.
