You to Younger You

Hush, in you, the innocent little child,

Let it's tears flow,

Yes, the pain you feel is real,

How my child I won't know?

Oh my dear child,

you are most welcome to come and lean on my shoulder,

The wound will certainly become your strength,

When like me, you grow a little older.

With stern words and whispers,

I screamed at you, yet myself,

Come here and sit down beside me,

We’ll cure the void with stealth.

The world has an unblemished reputation of not being cruel,

To the old and the young, to the strong and the weak,

From the horrors in the night, to the conscious causing fright,

It is later of these experiences, to others, you must speak.

Never dishearten, never lose your innocence,

Never would you need to crumble like a wall,

Never do you disbelief in the strength that you hold,

There is always a lesson, that you learn from each fall.

Things will get scary as years go by, and I know they will, have faith, trust and love, 

No longer from now will we ever be apart, I surely promise thee,

Together you and me, we’ll fit like a hand in a glove.

Now that I have discovered the adult is me.

Whenever you feel sad, whenever you feel alone,

And there's too much anxiety, and it's difficult to bear,

Put on your shoes and travel to me in your thoughts,

For you my little one, the adult you, does care.
