Man Vs. Forest

Man Vs. Forest

One day, sleeping in my bed,

I had a dream,

Listening to old songs, enjoying nature,

On the bank of a stream.

Animals talked to me,

How weird it may seem,

Asking me to play with them,

Like a team.

And then they took me,

To a forest,

Green trees all around,

Nature at it’s best.

Birds chirping, with chicks,

Waiting in the nest,

Playing with them all day,

Then took some rest.

Some men came there,

And started cutting the trees,

There is chaos everywhere,

And angry honeybees.

I just couldn’t bear this,

Sitting on my knees,

Animals running all around,

With fear, some just freeze.

Within no time,

The forest is gone,

No trees, no animals,

I was all alone.

As I pleaded with them,

Shivering with fear unknown,

Out of the forest,

I was just thrown.

A few days later,

There were houses all around,

Cars and scooters on the roads,

With their honking sound.

No deer, no lion,

As I took a round,

The nest, the chicks,

Are nowhere to be found.

As I woke up in the morning,

Wished it will change someday,

If it didn’t stop,

Nature will have its say,

The forest, nature,

Are not the things to play,

Protect wildlife, protect forest,

Come what may.
