Lockdown
Lockdown
There is a virus in the air
Everything is stalled, as I have heard
No airplane and no train
There is a lockdown in the whole world.
Cinemas and the restaurants are shut down
And its a very long list
I have to see sick children
As I am a child specialist.
Whenever any child comes to me
”How are you” with a smile I ask
I don’t know if they smile back
As I can’t see through the mask.
I have a friend in the USA
Asked” what’s the scene in cities there”
He said ”everyone is anxious
And there is fear everywhere “.
I have many friends in Agra
And talk to them every other day
”the disease may come from any patient,
We are worried “ its what they say.
In Patiala where I am settled now
There are empty roads like anywhere
I nurtured a hobby of clicking nature
On Whatsapp I daily share.
In the morning I wake up early
And see the rising sun
In the evening at sunset
See lots of birds and have fun.
Before lockdown, I got less time
Now do a lot of talking with my wife
I don’t think this all will end
We have to get used to this life.
