Your Imaginary Holiday On Another Planet

I have often taken trips to another planet in dreams. It will be the best thing ever.

My trip will be like this:

I got a cool spaceship that can fly really really fast. It is a big one with autopilot and other cool features. My destination planet is not too far (otherwise without hibernation, I would get old and die mid-way and would never reach there). It is around one month journey in vast cosmos with me, my spaceship, and beautiful space to accompany me.

I start with all the essential equipment for my journey. Very soon, I reach into outer space and I am dumbstruck by the beauty of it. Earth is looking so small that I can block the whole view of it by extending my arm, hold up one finger, and look at the finger against the background. That is my home planet. Everything we ever knew, everything which has happened in my life or anyone else's is right there on that giant stone. It seems so meaningless from here.

I fly it for an hour or so by watching the space objects from close-up and flying past them. Then, I stop the spaceship for a while and take out my spacesuit and go for a short spacewalk. I come back, put the spaceship on autopilot, and take a nap. When I wake up, I find myself in completely different surroundings. The spaceship has traveled a few hundred thousand kilometers when I was asleep. I go near the main window and experience the beauty and look back and notice that I can't even recognize earth among all the heavenly bodies anymore. Looking from the back window, All I can say is earth is one of them. I carry on: forward to my destination. Every time I get bored, I halt the spaceship and go for a short, quick refreshing spacewalk.

I reach my destination in about 4 weeks. The planet I have reached on is very beautiful too. It is inhabited by some cool species and they are celebrating some kind of festival. I land my spaceship and join the ceremony. "It will be fun to spend some part of my life here", that is what I say in my head.

So, this is what my dream trip to another planet will look like.
