WORK FROM HOME - A TRAP.

Nowadays, people want to earn money quickly and have everything at their fingertips within seconds.

This is a true story that I want to share with all those people who are college-going students, housewives who are in need of earning money to support their families, and get trapped into this so-called "Work from Home" scheme.

One day, I saw a reel on Facebook advertising a site called "Click India," which supposedly provides work-from-home jobs for students and housewives. I opened and registered an account on this site and applied for jobs. Within 2 days, I received a call from Rajasthan, informing me that I was selected for a work-from-home job. They explained the job responsibilities over the phone, and I agreed to their offer. They made me sign an agreement regarding the job, which involved filling out random forms with 90% accuracy. They mentioned that a registration fee of ₹6200 would be deducted from my first salary. It wasn't just 1 or 2 forms; I had to complete a total of 300 forms within 5 days of receiving the task.

So, my mom and I worked tirelessly day and night to complete the task within the deadline. We submitted it on the 5th day, and they said our company would contact us within 2 to 3 days after reviewing a QC report.

When the report came, they claimed that only 165 forms were filled out correctly, which didn't meet their requirement of 90% accuracy. They stated that the salary would only be paid if at least 270 forms were correct (a condition not mentioned during registration).

One afternoon, I received an email titled "Legal Intimation Email Of Rescinding The Agreement Case," and also a phone call from someone claiming to be an advocate. They said a case had been filed against me, demanding a penalty of ₹10,000 or ₹2 Lakhs in court for allegedly causing the company a loss of ₹98,000 due to incorrect form filling. They threatened to send my case to the local police station and issue an arrest warrant against my father. When I contacted the person who handled my registration, she denied responsibility, claiming that all the information had been provided during registration, and they had legal proof in the form of chats, emails, and voice recordings.

Then, using my presence of mind, I remembered that the legal mail had an address, so I copied it and searched on Google. To my shock, I found many cases involving the same address, which had happened to people several months prior. That's when I realized it was a BIG SCAM.

MORAL - Never fall for such Work-from-Home scams. You never know when you'll be trapped.

If any such offer arises, conduct thorough research on the company.

I'm sharing this to warn those in need of money to support their families not to fall into the trap of such scammers.

Please, please be aware...
