She replied, "Not more than humankind!"

Saying so, she boldly trudged to the cage and walked in. He looked at her and growled, yet she looked on at him straight in the eye. Brown eyes stared back at her. And turned slowly warm. He sat down beside her and she looked at him and smiled. Suddenly, a nervous giggle escaped and turned into full blown laughter. The connection was made. Willey, the gorilla was soon her best friend. 

And he found solace in his first human friend too.
