The truth gets the most comments 

I remember when I wrote a blog about a friend who did me wrong, I posted it then I thought I didn't like the way it sounded and I didn't want to put out that kind of negative energy, so I took it down. 

Well, I guess it had gotten out there on a few websites that I blog on before I could take it down and I was shocked to realize that I had more hits on that blog than any other one I had written. 

I guess I hit a nerve, and because of that people told me their stories of hurt and betrayal. Of how they too, could relate to me and how they needed to hear my story to finally close a door that needed to be closed years before. 

Sometimes you need to put your truth out there, sometimes you need to know you're not alone, that there is another person going through what you are going through. To be honest I thought I came off as snarky in that blog, I was hurt and wrote from a place of hurt and that is never good. 

But I also wrote from a place of honesty, deep raw honesty and because of that, it touched people. Not one person said I was negative or snarky, the opposite in fact, they praised me for being so open and honest.

I have learned that I have to write the good, the bad and the really ugly, that there is someone out there I am touching with my words. This is my purpose, my God given gift that I tell my story to others in hopes of inspiring them. Sometimes I hit the nail on the head, sometimes I am way off base, but hey, I am human and I guess because I am not afraid to put it all out there, that is what connects to people.

I realize that in today's society so many people live this fake life, we try to be like others. We show off what we have even when we can't afford it. We all want to be perceived as ballers, living the high life. We use designer clothes and bags to make ourselves feel better, to make an impression on others. We have fake lips, fake boobs, fake asses even, no one is real about anything anymore. 

Maybe this is why so many people resonated with my blog because no one tells the truth anymore and when someone actually does it's a shock. Look I lied for too many years about who I was and I will never do that again. I will only write from a place of honesty or I won't write at all.

I also realize that when I am truly snarky, I will get called out for it by complete strangers and from family and friends. That keeps me on the path of honesty, that allows me to continue to tell my truth.

So today my friends, speak your truth...speak it loud, speak it often, never hide behind your feelings, this is your truth, this is your life, live it in truth, live it large and live it to the fullest!
