Once lived a very poor family of mother, father and daughter. Father was the breadwinner and earned enough to fulfil the family’s basic needs. He loved her daughter very much and dreamed of seeing her as a doctor even when he knew that he didn’t have enough money.

His daughter was good child. On the day of her high school result, her father wished that his daughter stood first in the state.

“Today I am very proud of you. Ask me anything you want,” father asked happily.

“Papa, I want the dress that I showed you that day. But it costs Rs1500. I didn’t ask you that day but please will you buy that for me?”

Father was happy for his daughter and even when he knew that he didn’t have enough money to buy that dress he agreed to gift because he didn’t wanted to see her sad. The next day father bought the same dress and gifted it to her daughter.

Mother saw that and knew that there wasn’t enough money to buy that dress so she asked him, “From where did you get the money to buy that dress?”

Father replied, “I had some savings and I sold my blood for some extra money. I didn’t want to disappoint my daughter.”

Time passed and his daughter got into the medical college and her father worked very hard to provide fees for her college. Soon it was the final year of her college and she needed Rs80,000 as the last instalment for the fees. Father didn’t have enough but he somehow managed to pay it.

Mother knew there was no money so she asked him, “Where did you bring that money from? Did you do something wrong to earn it?”

Father replied, “No, I gave my kidney to a patient who needed it. But please don’t tell about this to our daughter, she will feel guilty.”

On the day of daughter’s graduation, her parents awaited their daughter arrival for the first time home as a doctor.

But…what came home was a dead body. They came to know that she killed herself because the guy she loved had cheated on her.
