Train to England

Alex had been waiting for long now. He impatiently tapped his pen against the bench when the taxi arrived. He hurriedly sat in and headed to the railway station. 

As soon as he reached, he quickly paid the driver and rushed to his about-to-leave train. His seat was in a shady corner at the end of the compartment. He was eager to visit England, his hometown, after ten years. 

He admired the two-seater booth and talked with his mom for about an hour. After all the excitement wore off, he noticed the graceful presence of a beautiful lady in the second seat of his booth.

 He wondered how she could read in the poor lighting. The voluptuous lady stared at him with her pale blue eyes and went back to her book.

 Alex tried to start a conversation by saying, "What are you reading, Miss?”

“Ghost stories”, she responded, "I am Ruby by the way.”

“Oh, I am Alex. So, do you believe in this stuff, this ghost and all thing? " Alex chortled mockingly. 

“Why, you don't?” she asked.

" Well, it's hard cause I have never seen one, a ghost, you know. Besides, I'd rather spend my time on something more resourceful."

"So, will you start believing in ghosts if you personally experience one? " she questioned seductively. 

"I might," Alex responded, tranced by her enchanting voice. 

“Well, you better start now, darling.” she sweetly whispered.

 Before Alex could comprehend, a sudden jolt shook them and as the dim bulb of the booth creaked into oval revolutions, the lady had vanished into thin air.
