Ticket to Tahiti

It's the evening of 23rd march 2001.Sara will be turning 25 the very next day.She has been busy for the past 10 days preparing for her birthday party.Karen,Giza,Albert,Sam......her guests list goes on.Her parents died when she was 12 in a road accident.after that she stayed in a Orphanage.Sara had only one best friend during her childhood days named Alison.Alison herself was a orphanage.Sara and Alison were very close to each other.But after few years Alison suddenly disappeared,Sara searched for her, but she had no clue where her friend went.She missed her every day after that.After a few years,Sara moved out of the orphanage for higher studies 

its the birthday evening and Sara is very happy.She had a blast and everyone enjoyed it to.Half of her storage room was filled with gifts.She was very excited to open the gifts.After all her friends left her ,she sat down to open the gifts one-by-one.Among all the gifts that caught her attention was a gift box with no card attached to it.Curious,she threw the rest of the gifts aside and opened the box.Inside was a photograph of her orphanage,at the back of the photograph an address was mentioned and a plane ticket to Tahiti was attached with it.Curious to know who sent this she asked all her friends.But nobody knew about it.Puzzled, the thought of traveling to Tahiti.She was very eager to reach Tahiti.After reaching the destination she saw Alison.She had so many questions in her mind.Why did Alison disappeared all of a sudden?What made her move out of the orphanage without even telling her?She asked Alison what made her move away from her.To which Alison explained,'' Sara, you are such a wonderful person that i cannot detach myself from you.Although I am on the darker side,I never felt inferior since you used to tell me I am very beautiful the way I am.Because of the strength you gave me,I gained the confidence to face the world.I had a huge respect for you and for the fact that you don’t see outer beauty but inner beauty.But I started seeing a different Sara after joy joined our orphanage .You know that he used to limp since a truck ran over him when he was 7 years old. I thought you would have the same respect and values for Joy as you had for me, but it does not seem that way. The very first day he came, you mocked him with other children without even thinking how much he would have hurt. This did not stop and you kept on bullying him every single day. Joy was deeply hurt and thought of leaving the Orphanage. I had warned you not to hurt people like this. I tried my best to explain to you that what you were doing was wrong but you did not listen. He asked me whether I would help him in setting up an orphanage only for people like him. That is when I thought I would teach you a lesson and decided to leave without telling you. We gathered all the money we had. Together we studied, earned money and set up an orphanage called Home where people with disabilities live happily. Sara I would request only one thing from you, if you had listened to me that day you might have changed the thinking of all the children in that group who mocked Joy. You never know how mentally a person is affected after facing such bullying. They get into such a mental state that they think they are worth nothing even though they might have higher ability and intelligence than people like us”.

Tears rolled down from Sara’s eyes. She apologized for her mistake. Sara also joined the orphanage and started helping disabled people. She vowed that she would inspire people to not bully others for their appearance or physical disabilities.
